📋 Description
• Lead and grow a high-performing, globally-distributed engineering team, ensuring a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to understand business strategy and goals and drive technical alignment. • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define the roadmap for AI-enabled marketing solutions. • Build scalable, high-performance products that integrate AI capabilities into marketers’ daily workflows, focusing on usability, automation, and business impact. • Drive innovation and experimentation while ensuring secure, reliable, and performant systems. • Mentor and develop engineers across levels, fostering technical excellence and leadership growth. • Guide the team through solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations. • Ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives, with clear communication of progress and priorities. • Act as an entrepreneur inside Contentful: shape vision, culture, and execution for a new Business Services team. • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure technical architecture, tech stack, and development strategy are aligned to deliver business impact.
🎯 Requirements
• 2+ years of experience leading development teams, with a track record of delivering complex, high-impact technical solutions. • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, balancing short-term impact with long-term strategy. • Experience building or integrating AI-powered products (e.g., LLM-based systems, recommendation engines, personalization features). • Technical depth in modern web technologies and AI/ML-enabled applications, with hands-on experience to guide solutioning and challenge technical decisions. • Experience optimizing performance and scalability, handling complex content structures and large datasets. • Ability to balance innovation with immediate impact while overseeing technical delivery and team capabilities. • Strong collaboration across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to align technical work with business goals. • Strong mentoring track record, fostering continuous learning, technical excellence, and quality within distributed teams. • Embrace continuous learning and stay up to date with industry trends. • Familiarity with martech ecosystems, marketing workflows, and integrations (bonus). • Experience working in entrepreneurial or incubation environments, such as starting new teams or products from scratch (bonus). • Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and security best practices in SaaS and AI-enabled applications (bonus).
