• Prospect, pitch, and close advertising partnerships with small businesses, local nonprofits, and community organizations • Deliver tailored media packages using Courier’s newsletter, website, and social inventory • Deliver renewals and upsells with existing advertisers • Deliver reports of sales activity and updated pipelines

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in digital media sales, local advertising, or marketing partnerships • Strong understanding of local business marketing needs and digital advertising solutions (especially newsletters and social media) • Proven ability as a consult to deliver the full sales cycle — from lead generation through closing and client service • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills • Consultant with the ability to work independently and hit deliverables • Passion for Courier’s mission to strengthen democracy through trusted, local journalism
