📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert for Canadian defined benefit pension plans within ProVal • Maintain and enhance ProVal’s Canadian functionality to reflect current legislation, regulations, CIA Standards of Practice, and pension related financial reporting requirements • Serve as a primary point of contact for Canadian clients on technical pension matters • Test ProVal enhancements and client specific solutions to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency with actuarial standards • Provide expert guidance to ProVal users on Canadian pension applications • Work closely with programmers and consultants to design and implement client solutions • Prepare and maintain clear, practical user documentation and training materials • ProVal is coded primarily in APL; no prior programming experience is required, and training is provided

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related discipline • CIA designation (FCIA) or significant progress toward qualification is a plus • 8+ years of experience performing actuarial valuations of defined benefit pension plans under Canadian legislation • Deep knowledge of Canadian pension funding rules, regulations, CIA Standards of Practice, and pension related financial reporting • Experience with pension projections and forecasting a plus • Experience managing projects and professional relationships is an asset • Strong written and verbal communication skills • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi disciplinary team environment • Prior ProVal experience a plus
