• Lead and oversee a dedicated team of Financial Aid Coordinators to support active and returning students through their educational journey • Monitor and improve KPIs and performance metrics for each Financial Aid Coordinator • Support termly financial processing goals by ensuring accurate statements, forecasts, and financial guidance • Coach Coordinators on FAFSA process and interpret financial aid awards • Oversee administration of federal, state, institutional, and private aid programs • Support student escalations with care and customer service approach • Ensure compliance with regulations such as Title IV, state-specific rules, and institutional policies • Provide ongoing training on policy and process changes • Collaborate with Admissions, Student Services, and Career Services to support recruitment and retention goals • Prepare for and manage financial aid audits and reviews • Submit reports for DOE and annual audits • Adhere to deadlines and monitor compliance status • Develop and revise department policies and procedures • Communicate policy updates to students and staff • Provide professional growth opportunities for employees • Manage timekeeping policies and timely processing of timecards • Contribute to team effort by achieving results • Maintain safe, secure, and ethical work environment • AAP/EEO compliance, equal opportunity employer information • Remote work may require weekend/evening hours • Ensure data security and confidentiality • Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education financial aid positions, including administering Title IV, VA, private education financing, scholarships, and employer-sponsored funding • Minimum 2 years of experience using enterprise CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information and interact with students, colleagues, and others • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, and timeliness of results • Able to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality • Possess high ethical standards, professionalism • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment • Excellent analytical skills, problem-resolution skills, and general business acumen • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project, and ability to learn additional software • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and Microsoft Excel skills • Flexible in a rapidly changing environment • Willing to learn new systems and build automated processes • Strong presentation, public speaking, and writing skills • Customer-service oriented approach for student recruitment and retention • Team player with positive, can-do attitude • Embody CIAT’s mission, vision, values
