📋 Description

• Supervise day-to-day team performance, conduct 1:1’s and performance assessments • Responsible for reviewing and approving time sheets and time off requests • Receive, merge and track quality, productivity, and feedback for all team members • Provide a summary of productivity findings on a daily basis, including education on time management and best coding practices • Provide coaching and feedback on achieving production and quality standards of the role • Report trends for education opportunities to management for review and/or action • Motivate team members through effective training, supplemental materials and coaching to improve quality and production • Apply guidelines and concepts as indicated • Serve as resource and subject matter expert to staff • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements • Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC) • Extensive knowledge of ICD -9/10 • 2 years coding experience, required • 2 years coding experience, preferred • People Leader experience managing a team of employees • Familiarity with HCC coding and auditing • A strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology and disease processes • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining adherence to high quality standards • Must be able to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work independently • Ability to be flexible in work environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a remote environment and time management skills • Working knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software to ensure effectiveness and quality of the processing and security of the data
