📋 Description

• Seeking Special Event DJs + MCs Nationwide • Degy Concepts is growing, and we’re looking for multiple n USA-based Special Event DJs + MCs to join our team! • We are looking in all states, but we are especially interested in candidates near the following major cities: Chicago, Boston, Orlando, New York, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Portland, Minneapolis and New Orleans. • We are seeking EXPERIENCED, talented, and high-energy DJs + MCs who can bring the party to life at our signature events, including PaintU, FoamDrop, Swift Night, EmoProm, and more. • Your ability to engage the crowd, command the mic, and keep the energy high is essential to creating an unforgettable experience for our audiences. • Ideal Candidates: • ✔ Open-format DJs with experience across multiple genres • ✔ Skilled at reading the crowd and creating an engaging atmosphere • ✔ Comfortable as both a DJ and an MC, with strong microphone skills • ✔ Professional, reliable, and able to travel for events. • Position Details: • • Freelance/Gig Work – DJs are booked on a show-by-show basis by Degy Concepts • • Opportunities for bookings at major events • • Travel will be required, with expenses covered • If you have the talent, energy, and stage presence to rock a crowd, we want to hear from you! Apply today and become part of our nationwide team of top-tier event entertainers. • Your duties will include but not limited to: • • Operating sound and DJ equipment during events, ensuring high-quality audio and seamless transitions between songs. • • Serving as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) to engage the audience. • • Collaborating with clients to understand their vision and tailor the entertainment experience to their needs. • • Mixing a diverse range of music genres to cater to event-specific audiences and maintaining a lively atmosphere. • • Setting up and breaking down DJ equipment before and after events. • • Assisting event manager team with load-in, setup, breakdown, and additional tasks necessary. • • Working closely with event planners and coordinators to ensure smooth event execution. • • Traveling to various locations for events and being flexible with scheduling. • • Providing great customer service to clients and attendees onsite

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a DJ and MC at special events. • Extensive knowledge of music across multiple genres and ability to read the crowd. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and entertain an audience. • Experience with DJ equipment, mixers, and sound systems. • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all equipment is set up properly. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, remaining adaptable to unexpected changes. • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a passion for creating memorable experiences. • Ability to travel to various event locations. • Must provide your own DJ Backline Equipment - most of the team uses controllers. • Valid Driver's License/Real ID + Willingness to drive to gigs hundreds of miles away. • Must have the ability to mix songs. • Ability to lift > 50 lbs. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. • This position may be subject to a background check.
