• Serve as the on-site representative, supporting multiple sites through regular on-site visits during each rotation. • Contribute to the implementation of an integrated occupational health, safety and environmental program for the division. • Lead, assist with, and manage incident and accident investigations at the site level; prepare accurate and timely reports; and support the development, implementation and follow-up of corrective actions. • Maintain a high level of internal and external customer service and contribute to the development of customer service excellence. • Support and motivate leaders to take ownership of safety management systems and prioritize HSE over other business objectives. • Stay aware of changing operational requirements and demonstrate flexibility to meet business expectations. • Identify and support strategies to address risks in changing business environments. • Apply technical knowledge, human factors principles, and risk assessment methods to research, review and interpret hazard information, and to identify causes, consequences and appropriate controls (including critical controls). • Ensure employees are empowered to stop work in situations that pose a threat to health, safety or the environment. • Collaborate with the HSE manager to ensure consistent HSE practices are applied across all sites. • Monitor HSE performance and recommend preventive measures to operations and the HSE manager. • Assess and report on the effectiveness of risk management and HSE processes at the site and operations level. • Ensure HSE management systems are resourced, implemented and maintained to prevent injuries, illnesses, property damage and environmental incidents. • Measure field HSE program performance to achieve company objectives and ensure continuous improvement. • Support site leadership by communicating compliance requirements, distributing safety information and ensuring all staff are informed of company safety policies and bulletins. • Support and participate in subcontractor audits and field inspections, as required. • Perform other duties as required.

🎯 Requirements

• Post-secondary diploma from an accredited university or college in business or trades and technologies is considered an asset. • Enrollment in or completion of a specialized occupational health and safety training program is considered an asset. • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the safety field. • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French. • Knowledge of applicable occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in Canada, Quebec and Nunavut (municipal, provincial and federal) is considered an asset. • Knowledge of provincial disability management protocols. • Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be driven. • Proven ability to train, coach, assess and develop others. • Ability to support others with empathy, openness and respect. • Intermediate to advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
