📋 Description

• Build models, establish KPIs with monitoring dashboards, and produce ad-hoc analysis to influence the insurance team’s operation and lead to faster, more cost-effective claims resolution. • Support the development of DoorDash’s risk segmentation model. Leveraging keen business intuition and predictive modeling techniques to deliver an actionable risk model. • Drive increased sophistication in our insurance program structure by proposing and negotiating additional rate segmentation with our insurance partners as part of our annual renewal process. • Partner with Product, Engineering, Strategy, and Operations, and other relevant cross-functional partners to integrate analytical and predictive modeling outputs into product initiatives that will help drive down insurance costs.

🎯 Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative or analytics role within the insurance industry • Strong SQL and Python/R skills are a must • Experience in assisting with building or improving predictive modeling (e.g., GLM, GBM) is a must. • Prior experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company is a plus • Work experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry is preferred • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools is a plus.
