• Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend systems and APIs for wallet and identity infrastructure • Architect and enforce secure systems that meet best practices in cryptography, key management, and access control • Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver seamless, secure user experiences • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to infrastructure and codebases • Influence long-term technical strategy and roadmap for backend services • Provide mentorship and code reviews to help raise the bar across the engineering team
• You have 7 to 10+ years of backend engineering experience • You’re highly proficient in Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript • You’ve led architecture decisions for production-grade APIs, especially for identity, authentication, or payment systems • You’re deeply familiar with authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.), encryption, key management, and access control • You’ve built systems that prioritize security, scalability, and maintainability • You’ve mentored other engineers, led cross-functional projects, and helped establish engineering best practices • You care about clean code, rigorous testing, and robust documentation • 2 to 3 years of experience building in the Web3 space for a notable Web3 company • You’re excited about Web3 and fintech, and want to work on infrastructure used by millions of users • You are located close to NYC, SF, Chicago, or Floripa (Brazil)
