• Leads Northeast Region territory underwriting strategy execution and performance to drive profitability, compliance, and operational efficiency. • Adheres to established countrywide appetite underwriting guidelines while identifying opportunities to develop supplemental regional guidance within those parameters. • Fosters collaboration with internal stakeholders and agency partners. • Ensures underwriting quality, compliance with regulatory and internal standards. • Drives team development, providing training, coaching, and succession planning for a high-performing underwriting unit. • Represents underwriting in strategic planning and drives agency engagement.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration or equivalent relevant experience • Ten years of commercial lines underwriting experience, including at least four years of experience directly leading and developing teams, or related experience • CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designation(s) preferred • Extensive expertise in underwriting principles and risk management strategies • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills • Exceptional leadership capabilities • Strong ability to lead large-scale initiatives and manage multiple cross-functional projects
