• Manage day-to-day posting and content scheduling across the League’s official social media handles (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, etc.) • Be on top of all football news across Asia and India, especially AFC, ISL, I-league, grassroots and regional leagues and tournaments • Understand and incorporate local terms, expressions, and football lingo used by fans across different regions, especially in Hindi, Punjabi, Odia etc • Ideate and execute regionally relatable content, tapping into fan sentiment and cultural nuances. • Monitor real-time trends, memes, and football-related conversations to create relevant, reactive content • Coordinate comprehensive live match-day coverage across platforms — real-time score updates, graphics, key moments content, etc. • Collaborate with the design team to develop platform-specific content, including graphics, memes, carousels, image posts, and Instagram stories • Craft catchy, culturally aligned captions and tweets that resonate with regional and national audiences • Engage with fans actively by replying to comments, messages, and creating interactive content (polls, quizzes, AMAs, etc.) on an hourly basis • Track content performance metrics and provide weekly reports and insights • Stay updated on platform algorithms, content formats, and evolving best practices in social media • Must know how to use AI tools (ChatGpt, MidJourney, etc)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience managing social media for a football team • Excellent communication skills in Hindi and Punjabi/Odia/ Urdu (spoken and written); additional regional languages are a plus • Deep understanding of Indian football culture, leagues, players, and fan dynamics • Strong content instincts, understanding of internet culture, memes, and digital storytelling • Comfortable working evenings, late nights and weekends • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite) • Basic design knowledge (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) is a plus
