📋 Description

• Perform bank reconciliations for associations involving multiple bank accounts • Prepare and issue financial statements for associations ensuring accuracy and timely completion of task • Prepare necessary supporting schedules including accrued expense and prepaid expense • Complete quality assurance checklist before issuance of financials • Update cover memo to financials with essential items of note for current month financials being issued • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents • Maintain accounting controls through careful attention to policies and procedures • Research and respond to inquiries related to financials statements prepared • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information • Direct participate internal and external audits to ensure compliance • Support month-end and year-end close process

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/appropriate field of study or comparable work experience • 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant • Property management accounting experience is a bonus! • Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process • Experience with accounting software • Speed and accuracy are essential for this role which requires multiple financials prepared and issued daily
