📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll entries, and general ledger maintenance • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and organizational policies • Support the annual audit process by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests • Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend process improvements • Oversee grant-related accounting tasks and ensure compliance with reporting requirements • Supervise a team of accountants or specialists, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback • Collaborate with the Finance team on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis • Recommend process improvements and support financial system enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency • Drive financial digital transformation initiatives including AI and robotic process automation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required (CPA eligible) • Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and healthcare compliance requirements • Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Tableau, Excel) • Demonstrated expertise in financial leadership, managing external audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance • Experience in healthcare financial management and grant-related accounting • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, provide training, coaching, and performance feedback • Demonstrated expertise in leading financial digital transformation through AI and RPA, AI enabled ERP systems, and automation in healthcare finance • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with great attention to detail • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities independently • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ); subject to DOJ/FBI live scan analysis • Must be able to pass credit check • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General • Must attend any required training
