📋 Description

• Research, identify, and qualify new vendors (domestic and international) • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with company goals for cost, quality, and lead times • Conduct RFI/RFQ/RFP processes to evaluate supplier capabilities and competitiveness • Maintain and develop a pipeline/database of potential suppliers with detailed profiles • Verify supplier compliance, certifications, and production capacity • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms • Build and maintain long-term, collaborative supplier partnerships • Monitor vendor performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, defect rates, responsiveness) • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic suppliers • Request and evaluate product samples to ensure compliance with specifications • Benchmark products against market standards and competitor offerings • Collaborate with product and sales teams to align quality expectations with customer demand • Develop and maintain product specifications and inspection criteria • Oversee quality checks and third-party inspections (pre-production, in-line, and pre-shipment) • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product quality issues • Audit supplier quality management systems to ensure ongoing compliance • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement • Ensure multiple sourcing options to mitigate supply chain risks • Stay current on regulatory requirements, trade rules, and industry standards • Track supplier innovation to introduce new products and improvements to the market

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Business, Engineering, or related field • 2+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, QC or supplier quality management • Strong negotiation and contract management skills • Experience with international and domestic suppliers, manufacturing, and compliance requirements • Knowledge of quality control standards (ISO, FDA, CE, etc., depending on industry) is a PLUS • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
