📋 Description

• Serve as the legal liaison to organizational units and senior executives on legal, administrative and management issues. • Provide legal advice and counsel to a range of staff members, including members of the Executive Team. • Manage outside counsel, track relevant legal developments, formulate courses of action, draft correspondence and/or policies and procedures to resolve legal issues. • Interact with funding, government, and regulatory agencies to represent the interests of the organization. • Ensure proper filing of relevant legal records. • Engage in projects and perform other duties assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor or its International Equivalent from a recognized school of law. • Typically requires 7+ years of experience with a law firm, corporate legal department, or organization, including 3+ years of leadership and/or line management experience. • Validated legal expertise in two or more relevant areas (corporate governance and transactions; tax exempt status and fundraising; contracts and commercial transactions; patent, trademark, and copyright; data privacy; risk management). • Licensed to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States.
