📋 Description

• Build the power of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) in North & South Dakotas • Lead government relations and direct lobbying programs • Drive public policy advocacy campaigns • Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials • Monitor and analyze relevant pieces of legislation • Manage communications and serve as the media spokesperson • Work collaboratively with ACS and ACS CAN colleagues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science or related field required • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in political and/or policy campaign experience required • Detailed knowledge of the legislative process and political landscape • Health policy knowledge preferred • Fundraising experience preferred • Ability to draft bill or amendment language preferred • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, computer, and mobile application skills required • Action-oriented and the ability to work independently with minimum direction • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and communities
