🎯 Requirements

• At least 2 shipped projects while in a consultant or contract role • Strong understanding of Unity’s UI system, including Canvas hierarchies, RectTransform anchoring, layout groups, masking, scroll views, and prefab workflows. • Proficiency setting up responsive and scalable UI layouts that adapt to different resolutions and aspect ratios from 4:3 all the way to 2:1. • Experience interpreting game design intent into clear, player-focused visual layouts, including wireframes, mockups, and animatics. • Experience translating wireframes, mockups, or Figma files into functional, polished Unity UI implementations. • Ability to import, organize, and integrate 2D art assets (icons, backgrounds, characters, etc.) into Unity projects with correct compression, pivot points, and layer sorting. • Working knowledge of visual feedback and player communication patterns — e.g. button states, indicators, progress bars, prompts, and call-to-action clarity. • Attention to detail and consistency in UI visual language, ensuring alignment with the art direction and overall game design. • Comfort collaborating with designers, engineers, and artists, interpreting intent into functional UI without requiring code. • Proficiency with standard game development workflows (version control systems like Git, Unity project organization, prefab variant usage). • Clear communication and documentation skills for handoff and iteration within remote or hybrid teams.
