📋 Description

• As a member of our customer-facing team, you will help customers implement and optimize Fivetran connectors, with a focus on custom connector development using the Connector SDK. Your responsibilities will include: • Connector SDK Implementation: Lead customers in the design, development, and deployment of custom connectors using the Fivetran Connector SDK. This includes: • Developing Python code to extract data from various sources. • Guiding customers through the process of defining data schemas and handling data transformations. • Providing code reviews and best practices for connector development. • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide expert-level guidance and support to customers on the Connector SDK, including: • Troubleshooting issues related to custom connector development and deployment. • Optimizing connector performance and efficiency. • Developing and maintaining documentation, code samples, and training materials. • Customer Enablement: Empower customers to become self-sufficient in using the Connector SDK by: • Conducting training sessions and workshops on connector development. • Creating comprehensive documentation and tutorials. • Providing ongoing support and mentorship. • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to: • Provide feedback on the Connector SDK and identify areas for improvement. • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements. • Ensure seamless integration of custom connectors with the Fivetran platform.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a focus on data integration solutions and software development. • Python Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python programming, with experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. • Connector SDK Expertise: Experience with the Fivetran Connector SDK is highly desirable. • Data Integration and Replication: Solid understanding of data integration and replication concepts. • Technical Knowledge Across Databases and Systems: Experience with various databases, data warehouses, and operating systems. • SQL & Command-Line Skills: Proficiency in SQL and command-line scripting. • Networking and Connectivity: Familiarity with networking concepts, including SSH tunneling and VPNs. • Problem-Solving and Debugging: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. • Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Self-Motivated & Customer-Focused: A proactive approach to managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Prioritization and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively. • Software Development Best Practices: Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (git), testing, and documentation. • Bonus Skills: Experience with Data Lakes such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage and Microsoft ADLS2; Docker or Podman.
