📋 Description

• Administer, configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco FirePower Threat Defense and SkyHigh Web Gateway appliances • Implement advanced intrusion prevention systems using Cisco FirePower • Implement Cisco routers for Policy Based Routing on Virtual Private Cloud traffic • Design and optimize security rule sets and policies • Perform threat analysis, event correlation, and deep packet inspection • Configure and manage Cisco FireSight/FirePower Management Center for centralized policy management and monitoring • Integrate FirePower NGIPS with SIEM or SOAR platforms for automated threat response • Perform system upgrades, signature/engine updates, and antivirus pattern maintenance • Conduct audits and vulnerability assessments within FirePower systems • Troubleshoot FirePower appliances and ensure high availability and resilience • Collaborate with IT, security, SOC, cloud engineering, and application development teams • Create and maintain configuration, policy, procedure, and operational documentation • Provide technical guidance and training on Cisco FirePower operations • Support security audits, security events, and Tier 2/3 application development organization requests

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience • 5+ years of related experience maintaining security systems in cloud environments • Experience in Amazon Web Services cloud environments and CMS CCSQ/QNET • Documented experience configuring, maintaining, tuning, reporting, and remediating multiple security tools and services • Background in AWS Security services including GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Inspector • Ability to resolve security findings from security scanning • Ability to learn new tools on demand • Knowledge of USGCB and STIG system hardening benchmarks • SIEM experience with Splunk • Strong communication skills • Experience with Cisco FirePOWER, firewalls, McAfee Web Gateway, and network firewalls • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking, and changing environment • Experience working in an Agile environment • Ability to possess and maintain a Public Trust • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 of the last 5 years before the Public Trust investigation and Federal ID Card application • Work visa sponsorship will not be considered • Preferred: cloud security certification such as AWS Certified Security Specialty or CISSP • Preferred: understanding of key management and certificate management • Preferred: CIS benchmarks knowledge • Preferred: experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, Palo Alto NGFW, and Snyk
