📋 Description

• Responsible for supporting the operations team by performing field service activities at customer sites. • Provide engineering validation support and lead maintenance services for the installed base of GE control systems. • Work within defined parameters to make informed decisions, apply engineering principles to moderately complex issues, and resolve technical challenges through immediate actions or short-term planning. • Commission substation control systems (SCADA, HMI, networks, cyber security) at customer sites. • Perform control system validation and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT). • Lead maintenance activities, including first-line fault diagnostics and on-call support (outside normal hours, weekends, holidays) for onshore and offshore substations. • Provide technical guidance to customer personnel on installation, operation, and maintenance, and ensure the delivery of detailed service reports. • Support engineering tasks such as database updates, system upgrades/modifications, network/firewall configurations, and cyber security testing. • Manage fault reports and customer complaints, driving timely resolution in accordance with procedures. • Coordinate with internal Centers of Excellence regarding product/system obsolescence and improvement actions. • Support internal and external training activities and continuously develop product and system knowledge. • Communicate commissioning schedules, requirements, and quality issues to project and service management. • Ensure safety compliance, maintain competence authorizations, and apply GE quality and EHS standards on site.

🎯 Requirements

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). • Proven experience in service or project environments within the energy and transmission sectors. • Demonstrated commissioning experience in substations across voltage levels from 11 kV to 400 kV. • Experience with substation automation systems, technical support, testing, maintenance, and commissioning in transmission, distribution, industrial, or power plant environments. • Experience with protection relays and control systems (LV/MV/HV). • Hands-on experience with substation automation platforms (Zenon, PACiS, DS Agile). • Experience in detailed design, functional testing, FAT, and on-site commissioning of control systems. • Practical experience in SCADA/HMI testing, IEC 61850 / IEC 101 / IEC 104 integration, and cyber security functional testing. • Professional working proficiency in German and English. • Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 160 days/year). • Valid driver’s license.
