📋 Description

• Work with your Director to address project dependencies, negotiate and estimate incremental delivery dates for milestones with the stakeholder community, and deliver projects on time • Identify and raise appropriate project risks, and present detailed and implementable solutions or alternatives • Understand how requirements and design choices may impact systems across multiple areas • Report on your team’s progress for project and other key metrics, and present detailed and implementable ideas to improve product or project delivery • Initiate and support performance evaluation of team members and administer coaching plans and Performance Improvement Plans • Cultivate a culture that motivates all levels of performers and build and maintain relationships to support an environment of trust • Influence, coach, and cultivate a growth mindset; identify skill gaps and craft remediation plans • Proficiently execute difficult conversations on development and performance, including compliant negotiation and execution of warning administration and/or involuntary termination • Craft and deliver strategic persuasive arguments to drive process improvement, cost leadership, and customer experience • Manage up to leadership and give feedback when appropriate • Craft fully compliant quality documentation • Develop the team budget and report on results; significantly contribute to team planning process

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency and specialization with Java, GraphQL and SQL • Experience with AI and ML technologies including MLflow, VectorDBs, Scikit-learn and Langchain • Experience building products with micro-services-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs and GraphQL • Experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, security, and scaling) • Fluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture and Azure DevOps Operational Framework • Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments • In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms • Experience with solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment • Exemplary ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap • Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production • 10+ years of engineering experience • 3+ years of hands-on people leadership experience • 5+ years of experience building large-scale, mission-critical applications • 2+ years of experience building products with AI and ML • Employer will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization
