📋 Description

• Lead design strategy and execution for one or more product pillars • Drive design quality reviews and own standards for usability, accessibility, and design consistency • Mentor and grow the design team; provide thoughtful feedback and career guidance • Partner with PMs and Engineering to translate business goals into design roadmaps • Influence the product vision through storytelling, data synthesis, and user empathy • Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring cohesive experiences across surfaces and devices • Define metrics for design quality and impact (usability scores, accessibility compliance, NPS, etc.) • Create alignment between design and cross-functional teams through documentation, office hours, and design critiques • Stay current on design trends, emerging tools, and industry best practices—bringing back actionable insights to the team

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant design experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship capacity • Proven record of delivering elegant, data-informed experiences across the full design lifecycle—research, IA, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and testing • Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility, and scalable design patterns • Strong visual and interaction design craft—you care about hierarchy, layout, motion, and usability as much as strategy • Experience designing for AI-driven or intelligent interfaces, including collaboration with ML and data teams • Track record of influencing design direction at a system or platform level, not just at feature level • Natural mentor—comfortable coaching Senior and Junior designers while promoting shared standards of excellence • Strong facilitation skills: workshops, design critiques, and decision frameworks • A portfolio that demonstrates systematic thinking and measurable product impact • Excellent communication—able to simplify complex ideas for different audiences and advocate for design-led solutions • Familiarity with front-end implementation constraints; ability to work closely with engineers to ship quality • Committed to inclusive, accessible, and scalable design • Passionate about improving team operations—processes, tools, and documentation
