• Track and manage permitting processes for new store openings and retail development projects • Conduct municipal and regulatory code research for cross-functional teams • Support creation of municipal presentations and zoning exhibits for submissions • Assist with preparing and submitting applications to agencies with jurisdiction over required permits and approvals • Provide the real estate team with zoning site verification for cannabis siting requirements • Work with architects, engineers, and expeditors to facilitate permit applications • Coordinate with municipalities to monitor permit status and ensure timely processing • Communicate project status, timelines, and issues to internal and external stakeholders • Produce and maintain project schedules and coordinate permitting from approval through final stages • Project permit issue dates and notify the construction team to support mobilization targets • Manage permitting status tracking, documentation, and reporting for store openings, remodels, and conversions • Maintain current internal files for applications, approvals, and permits
• 5+ years of permitting/compliance experience with a general contractor, retailer, or comparable paralegal experience • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Knowledge of the construction industry a must • Ability to read and understand construction documents • Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset • Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools including Excel and PowerPoint • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb • Must have a solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws • Must pass any and all required background checks • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry • Must possess valid driver's license • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
• Competitive pay range based on experience, qualifications, and/or location • Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance
