📋 Description

• Own 24/7 shift coverage, tiering, and escalation paths, participating in an on-call rotation • Own response SLAs and report SOC KPIs to leadership • Run quality assurance on closed alerts and incidents, reduce false positives, and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and SOC standards • Lead, coach, and mentor MDR Analysts through 1:1s, feedback, onboarding, and T1-to-T3 training • Run tabletop exercises and post-incident reviews • Serve as technical lead and final escalation point for Tier 3 incidents, leading complex investigations through full lifecycle with defensible documentation • Correlate alerts across EDR, ITDR, and email security systems • Conduct proactive threat hunts aligned to MITRE ATT&CK • Use Guardz AI agents, Google BigQuery, SQL, and KQL to triage and investigate high-volume logs • Partner with MSPs on major incidents and posture reviews • Feed incident findings into detection improvements with product, threat research, and engineering teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in SOC, MDR, or Incident Response handling complex attacks, including 2+ years as a Team Lead, Shift Lead, or senior • Hands-on expertise with EDR, including SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, and Defender for Endpoint • Hands-on expertise with ITDR across Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace • Experience with Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Splunk, Elastic, or equivalent • Fluency in SQL, KQL, SPL, or equivalent query language • Experience with MITRE ATT&CK-aligned detection and proactive threat hunting • Experience with AI-driven triage engines, automated playbooks, or agentic SecOps platforms • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience • Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, GIAC GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, or CISSP
