• Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures. • Partner with business leaders, Product, Data & Technology teams, data stewards, owners, and stakeholders to develop data governance capabilities. • Elicit metadata, certify data, research internal systems of record and public data sources, and assess data quality. • Identify, define, and maintain data definitions and metadata across business functions and data domains. • Document translation and transformation requirements for sourced data entering the data warehouse. • Conduct data profiling, create and monitor data quality rules, perform root-cause analysis, and remediate data issues. • Maintain the data catalog with lineage, stewardship, custodianship, versioning, and audit-trail information. • Complete report certifications and validate dashboards and reports. • Identify process improvements and automate manual data governance processes. • Identify PII, define masking and data-processing rules, and assess the accuracy of new data sources. • Design custom Groovy workflows and configure metadata models. • Develop training materials, use-case documentation, and implementation specifications. • Define KPIs and document processes for monitoring data governance, cataloging performance, and data accuracy. • Mentor less experienced teammates, share reusable artifacts, and provide business domain knowledge. • Participate in stakeholder reviews, design sessions, working groups, workshops, and training. • Provide data, reports, and information to management. • Monitor technology-related errors, develop solutions, and continually improve relevant policies and processes. • Resolve high-level issues, monitor data catalog ingestion, and triage ingestion, lineage, and performance issues. • Communicate and manage partnerships with senior leaders, functional managers, and staff. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required, in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered. • Master’s degree in a related field preferred. • Minimum five years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles. • Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. • Hands-on experience working with data stewards and owners. • Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI. • Experience querying and analyzing SQL relational and NoSQL databases, including Aurora DB, IBM DB2, MemSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Snowflake, and NoSQL. • Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, data security, and regulatory requirements. • Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, including operating models, content import/export, dashboards, widgets, views, and automation workflows. • Workflow development and/or business process diagramming experience. • Knowledge of mortgage and privacy laws preferred. • Strong business acumen and ability to build effective business partnerships. • Analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. • Excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and team-building skills. • Ability to present to all levels of management and collaborate cross-functionally. • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, adapt to changing requirements, and learn new technologies. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications. • Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven, metrics-driven environment. • Commitment to company values. • Ability to perform sedentary office work, operate standard office equipment and keyboards, perceive visual and audio information, and work in an office environment. • Travel 5% or less. • Work primarily during the business week, Monday–Friday.
