• Responsible for handling fundamental and core aspects of clients’ financial recordkeeping • Assist the financial control team in financial service delivery by taking on advanced tasks provided by the Accounting Manager • Help manage a team, performing process compliance reviews and systematic and scheduled checks of the accuracy of work being done by other team members • Record customer payments and prepare aged Receivables • Collect supplier invoices into weekly/fortnightly/monthly payment runs • Ensure all supplier bills are appropriately authorised and process payments • Reconcile all bank and loan accounts • Maintain confidential records for all employees • Process employee pays and distribute pay advice • Prepare detailed workpapers for ATO compliance • Prepare financial statements and tax returns
• Graduate of Finance, Accounting, or business-related degrees • CPA is preferred but is not required • At least 5 years of AU Accounting experience • At least 1 year of AU Tax Accounting experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Knowledge and familiarity with accounting tools such as Xero, MYOB and Pronto are preferred • Has the ability and willingness to learn new systems and tools, as needed • Works within the hammerjack and client quality guidelines • Ensures the quality of work being delivered without being supervised • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Has the ability to connect with the team
