• Own the day-to-day financial accounting and month-end processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Prepare and post journals, reconciliations and adjustments across key accounts including revenue, payroll, accruals, and everything in between. • Keep our ledgers squeaky clean and always audit-ready. • Prepare monthly management reports, board reporting packs and variance analysis to support business decisions. • Engage with non-finance teams to streamline financial processes, support cash management and provide other financial insights. • Ensure compliance with all tax, BAS, payroll tax and statutory obligations. • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. • Identify inefficiencies, implement automation tools and enhance financial controls and operations using technology and AI where appropriate to our growth. • Contribute to building a high-performance finance function that is proactive and value-adding to the overall business.
• CA or CPA qualified (or final stages) • Previous experience in Big 4, private practice and/or high-growth SAAS companies is beneficial • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and/or international accounting standards • Process automation and system implementation experience highly regarded • Advanced Excel proficiency • Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and stakeholder management. • A detail-obsessed operator who loves getting things right. • A proactive problem-solver who sees inefficiencies and fixes them. • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. • A strong communicator who makes financial concepts feel simple. • A teammate who brings energy, curiosity and a can-do attitude.
