Higher Heights for America is the political home for Black women and their allies, founded to build collective political power and expand Black women’s elected leadership. The organization recruits, trains, and supports Black women candidates and leaders, mobilizes voters, produces research and candidate databases, and operates affiliated entities (a PAC and a leadership fund) to advance progressive public policy and civic participation. Higher Heights runs training programs, public campaigns, community events, and digital resources to increase voter engagement and elect more Black women at all levels of government.

📋 Description

• Monitor local, state, and federal political landscapes, including electoral calendars and emerging opportunities. • Produce timely political and electoral memos for Higher Heights PAC and executive leadership. • Track legislation and political trends relevant to Black women voters. • Manage candidate pipeline database and conduct research on potential candidates. • Support candidate engagement and onboarding. • Oversee collection and analysis of political, demographic, and voter data. • Collaborate with various teams to inform strategy and messaging.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in political campaigns, political data/analytics, advocacy organizations, or electoral strategy. • Strong understanding of U.S. electoral systems, political dynamics, and campaign operations. • Demonstrated experience with political research, data analysis, or voter file tools (Airtable, etc.). • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear political briefs, memos, and analyses. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities. • Strong relationship-building abilities and comfort working with candidates and senior stakeholders. • Commitment to advancing representation and supporting candidates from historically underrepresented communities.
