📋 Description

• Develop and implement processes to archive all Webex Spaces, Chats, documents, and recordings • Use Cisco Webex APIs and GitHub tools/scripts to extract data into structured formats (e.g., JSON) • Design and automate transformations of archived data into human-readable formats such as PDF or HTML • Determine and apply data retention policies, including which data to preserve (e.g., organization-wide spaces) • Ensure secure distribution of archived data to authorized users through controlled platforms such as SharePoint, document libraries, or encrypted storage • Define and manage the Webex phase-out strategy, including overlap and transition periods • Implement controls to disable new Space creation and convert existing Spaces to read-only mode • Provide guidance on licensing adjustments and optimization during the transition (e.g., read-only or reduced-use licenses) • Develop a detailed decommissioning roadmap aligned with business, IT, and compliance requirements • Research and apply best practices from prior Webex decommissions in other organizations • Collaborate with Cisco partners and internal IT stakeholders to ensure a secure, compliant, and auditable migration process • Partner with IT, Compliance, and Business Unit leaders to confirm data accessibility, security, and ownership models post-migration • Provide technical guidance and progress reports to stakeholders and management throughout the lifecycle of the project • Deliverables: Detailed Decommissioning Plan (phased approach) • Automated Webex Data Extraction and Transformation scripts • Archival repository (SharePoint or equivalent) with properly indexed and permissioned data • Final migration report including validation, data integrity results, and recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT migration, collaboration platform management, or data archiving • Proven experience with Cisco Webex APIs, JSON data transformation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.) • Familiarity with SharePoint Online (site architecture, permissions, document libraries) • Experience with data governance, retention, and compliance frameworks • Strong understanding of licensing management for collaboration platforms • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills • Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Automate, or Azure automation considered an asset • Cisco or Microsoft certifications (e.g., CCNA, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator) is preferred
