📋 Description

• Designing and owning core progression systems (characters, skills, gear, upgrades) – ensuring depth, clarity, and long-term player investment. • Creating engaging combat systems and gameplay loops that feel satisfying, strategic, and replayable. • Designing and balancing game economies, reward structures, and resource flows to support healthy progression and retention. • Evaluating system performance with Product and Analytics, iterating based on KPIs, data insights, and player feedback. • Writing and maintaining clear design documentation, feature specifications, and implementation guidelines to support smooth execution. • Partnering with Engineering and UX to prototype, validate, and refine gameplay features. • Supporting live operations with scalable systems and content-driven retention mechanics. • Mentoring junior designers and contributing to design best practices and team growth.

🎯 Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in Game Design, with a strong focus on systems design. • Experience shipping or working on midcore or RPG titles, preferably free-to-play. • Expertise in progression, combat systems, or economy balancing, with a deep understanding of how these systems interact. • Understanding of F2P design principles, player retention loops, and live game systems. • Strong analytical mindset, with experience using game KPIs to guide design decisions. • Ability to own system-level features end-to-end, collaborating cross-functionally to drive impact. • Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Passion for RPGs and crafting meaningful, long-lasting player experiences.
