📋 Description

• Conduct internal Fire Life Safety audits for Hyatt properties • Verify property compliance with Hyatt’s minimum FLS requirements and local regulatory standards, and oversee adaptations and modifications throughout installation of FLS systems • Partner with Development, Engineering, and Operations teams to identify and resolve FLS gaps. • Monitors project schedules, manage construction documents, and confirm project completion. Provide technical guidance to design and construction teams during pre-opening to align with Hyatt’s “gold standard” FLS practices. • Remain current with emerging technologies, national codes and best methods for automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, life safety, and smoke control • Collaborate with external Fire Marshals and local authorities as needed to ensure joint sign-off and compliance approval. • Develop and maintain consistent internal auditing templates, checklists, and reporting standards. • Identify systemic issues, trends, or recurring FLS nonconformities and communicate these findings to Global Risk and Engineering leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• 10 years of fire protection system inspections experience, or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering combined with minimum 5 years of experience in Fire and Life Safety inspection, audit, or compliance roles (hospitality, construction, or facilities preferred). • Good working knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and the National Fire Protection Association Standards (NFPA) • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • FLS Plan Review experience preferred.
