📋 Description

• The Algorithm Engineer is responsible for the design evaluation and implementation of complex algorithms for product development. • Design, implement, evaluate, and document complex algorithms for solving problems with data processing for products and solutions • Collect, analyze, manipulate and aggregate data for analysis from various data sources • Define prerequisite scope and output to test, evaluate, and verify process for algorithm solution • Apply test results to enhance the capabilities of algorithmic solution • Research algorithm improvements for speed, scalability, effectiveness, and accuracy; implement findings into products and solutions • Integrate and adapt algorithms into final release of software; adjust algorithmic solution to updated products or solutions • Research and investigate innovative alternatives that enhance current products and solutions • Find, read, and contribute to scientific advances and community in the field; patents, ongoing activity in scientific community • Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge • Mentor, coach, and train other team members

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience • Experience with code optimization and impact of algorithm variation on performance • Specialization desired in one or more of segmentation, machine learning, mesh algorithms, GPGPU • Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas • Good communication skills, can explain algorithms well • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment • Driven to learn and stay current professionally; contributing to scientific community including articles, presentations, and whitepapers • Highly organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking • Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with minimal oversight • Sharp, fast learner with technology curiosity and aptitude • Excellent knowledge of code optimization and algorithm variation • Up to 5% travel time required
