đź“‹ Description

• The Commodity Manager’s primary function is to ensure the health & outlook of the supply chain and support the business by creating procurement strategies and plans. • Partner collaboratively with the engineering and operations teams to implement procurement strategies and policies. • Support tactical execution from the selected supply chain and help maintain performance and profitability. • Develop commodity strategies focusing on mechanical and electrical components including analyzing and developing sourcing strategies; spend analysis and supplier strategies. • Negotiate pricing, monitor performance and engage in supplier selection. • Collaborate with procurement and design engineering to meet cost, quality and design requirements. • Develop and negotiate contractual agreements for price protection and supply security. • Engage suppliers to provide long-term solutions to quality issues and drive continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organization. • Develop supplier relationships resulting in optimized supply chain efficiencies and security of supply.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel, as well as management. • Strong computer skills • Successful experience in negotiating with senior level managers. • Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers. • Demonstrated data and financial analysis capability. • Cross functional/organizational project management and facilitation skills (internal and external). • Demonstrated self-starter.
