📋 Description

• Conceptualize and design modern, user-friendly user interfaces for our web and (optional) mobile applications • Structure complex domains into clear information architecture, navigation concepts, and interaction designs • Develop wireframes, clickable prototypes, and scalable design systems (components, tokens, patterns) • Plan and conduct user research (interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys) and usability tests - remote and on-site • Analyze usage data (e.g., tracking, funnels, feedback) to continuously improve UI/UX • Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders from concept to go-live • Ensure a consistent and accessible UI/UX across all products and platforms • Maintain and evolve our design system and brand style guides in Figma (including documentation and guidelines) • Support the implementation process (design handover, reviews, QA of frontend implementations)

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in (interface) design, media informatics, HCI, or a comparable qualification • At least 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design for digital products (ideally B2B-SaaS or complex web apps) • Very confident with common tools (primarily Figma; Adobe XD, Sketch, etc. a plus) • Deep understanding of design systems, component libraries, design tokens, responsive design, and accessibility principles (e.g., WCAG) • Experience in prototyping and planning/conducting user tests, including deriving concrete improvement measures • Basic understanding of modern frontend stacks (e.g., SPA, Vue/React, HTML/CSS basics) • Creative, analytical thinking, a clear sense of aesthetics, and a strong attention to detail - even in complex domain-specific applications • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and an agile mindset (Scrum/Kanban, iterative product development) • Nice to have: experience with data visualization, dashboards, or complex configurators • Experience in technical/engineering-focused environments (e.g., simulation, industrial software, CAD/HPC) • UX writing experience (microcopy, help texts, UI guidance copy)
