📋 Description

• Manage workers’ compensation cases with varying degrees of complexity • Provide litigation and claims legal advice and services • Develop the skills to independently manage a caseload of litigated claims files • Collaborate closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of legal matters including drafting and client counseling • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues • Participate in court sessions/proceedings and meet with clients as needed • Keep current with applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited institution • Prior experience as a Law Clerk working within workers’ compensation, underwriting, a law firm or related industry is highly desired • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California, with no history of public or private reprisals • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and PowerPoint • Effective communication skills to convey information to internal/external clients both verbally and in writing • Basic understanding of workers’ compensation administrative rules, procedures, laws, and statutes is highly preferred • Good time management skills
