📋 Description

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts and post related journal entries • Record quarterly changes in the fair market value of investments • Apply incoming cash to accounts, invoices, and general ledger coding • Investigate and resolve billing disputes • Transfer revenue transactions from Salesforce/Fonteva into the financial system and verify billing data • Prepare month-end publication revenue entries and reconciliations • Review and process corporate credit card transactions • Prepare monthly credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Post deferred revenue and revenue recognition journal entries • Manage customer deposits and related reconciliations • Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger, including additions, disposals, and transfers • Calculate and post monthly amortization and depreciation entries • Prepare accruals and adjusting journal entries • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations • Assist the Director, Finance with month-end close and flag reporting delays • Prepare general journal entries and assist with general ledger cleanup • Support data integrity reviews in accounting and ERP systems • Perform reconciliations related to IIBA's not-for-profit association operations and chapter activity • Provide audit support and prepare requested documentation and transaction samples • Contribute to finance special projects and initiatives • Monitor the shared finance mailbox and respond to inquiries • Suggest process improvements for efficiency and accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end close support • Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Experience with fixed asset accounting, including amortization/depreciation calculations and reconciliations • Working knowledge of deferred revenue and revenue recognition • Experience reconciling credit card transactions and investigating discrepancies • Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables • Experience with accounting and ERP systems and ability to learn new systems quickly • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment • Experience with billing and accounts receivable, including invoicing, billing inquiries, and AR follow-up • Experience preparing audit working papers and supporting documentation requests • Suitable home workspace and reliable high-speed internet • Ability to work some non-standard hours to support global needs • CPA designation in progress considered an asset
