📋 Description

• Review, adapt, and develop existing materials into a fully self-paced curriculum • Author lessons, explanations, worked examples, activities, and assessments • Align content with iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board requirements, and mark schemes • Design auto-marked, self-checking, and teacher-feedback assessments • Structure and sequence content for independent learners using chunking, scaffolding, retrieval practice, and digital interactions • Build courses within school systems using agreed templates, technology, and brand standards • Create multimodal resources including video lessons, voiceovers, screencasts, interactive tools, and knowledge checks • Apply accessibility and inclusion considerations, including SEND awareness, readability, alt text, and WCAG • Work to production schedules and agreed milestones • Submit drafts for editorial and QA review, revise based on feedback, and obtain sign-off • Use third-party content legally and create compliant, properly owned intellectual property

🎯 Requirements

• Current or recent teacher with a teaching qualification and strong subject and curriculum knowledge • Experience developing lesson materials for online delivery • Experience of asynchronous lesson design or course development • Understanding of designing for independent, self-paced learners • Assessment design aligned to iGCSE and International A-Level specifications, exam-board requirements, and mark schemes • Experience working with an LMS or VLE • Willingness and ability to record video lessons and voiceovers; comfortable on camera and microphone • Awareness of accessibility and inclusion, including SEND, WCAG, and readability • Self-motivated and self-managing, able to work to deadlines remotely and autonomously • Experience of synchronous lesson design highly valued • Familiarity with iGCSE and International A-Level exam-board requirements and specification alignment highly valued • Interactive content authoring and interest in digital learning tools highly valued • Basic media editing highly valued • Understanding of GDPR, copyright/licensing, and safeguarding in online education highly valued • Safer recruitment practices and pre-employment background checks required before appointment
