📋 Description

• Manage the day-to-day operations and performance of net revenue accounting processes and procedures • Manage inputs, assumptions, and outputs of the Kodiak RCA net revenue valuation tool • Coordinate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Payer Contracting, and Kodiak to maintain revenue valuation accuracy and completeness • Supervise the net revenue department during month-end close and prepare or review balance sheet account reconciliations • Prepare and support monthly net revenue reporting to regional finance teams • Ensure net revenue numbers are properly reported each month with accounting managers • Prepare or review month-end journal entries before posting and analyze variances to forecast, trend, and plan • Ensure net revenue analysts follow month-end processes, timelines, and quality expectations • Mentor analysts to produce accurate and timely work • Collaborate with reimbursement, revenue cycle, and regional finance teams on net revenue forecasts and plans • Participate in operational and capital budget preparation for hospitals and medical groups • Maintain staffing and staff scheduling; promote flexibility and cross-training • Communicate department updates, organizational activities, financial performance, educational opportunities, and interdepartmental activities • Support enterprise net revenue initiatives through detailed analysis and execution • Identify and implement process improvements in net revenue accounting workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution • Progressive leadership experience managing healthcare net revenue accounting functions across multiple locations • Increasing responsibility across complex revenue cycle operations • Working knowledge of revenue cycle processes and state and federal requirements, including charging, billing, and price transparency • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP • Experience with healthcare net patient revenues, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, financial and variance analysis, and data analysis • Proficiency with accounting and financial systems, including the Kodiak RCA net revenue valuation tool • Knowledge of monthly close processes, process execution, problem-solving, and process improvement • Demonstrated proficiency with the Kodiak RCA Tool preferred • Licensed Certified Public Accountant preferred • Ability to interpret upstream operational activity and partner with subject matter experts for accurate financial reporting • Understanding of coding classification systems, including ICD-10-CM, ICD-9-CM, MS-DRG, CPT-4, APR-DRG, and HCC • Ability to meet the stated physical requirements • Candidates must not reside or plan to reside in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington; Colorado is restricted when the assigned facility or service area is not based in Colorado • Video interview through Microsoft Teams required; potential onsite interviews and meetings • Ability to work 40 scheduled hours per week
