• IOG, is a technology company focused on Blockchain research and development. • We are renowned for our scientific approach to blockchain development, emphasizing peer-reviewed research and formal methods to ensure security, scalability, and sustainability. • Our projects include decentralized finance (DeFi), governance, and identity management, aiming to advance the capabilities and adoption of blockchain technology globally. • We invest in the unknown, applying our curiosity and desire for positive change to everything we do. • As the Social Media and Communications Strategist for Project Catalyst, you are responsible for the growth and engagement of Project Catalyst’s online presence. • You’ll shape and execute Catalyst’s social media and communications strategy across multiple platforms, amplifying community voices, and translating Catalyst’s evolving roadmap and growing ecosystem presence into compelling digital storytelling. • Reporting to the External Communications Manager, you will collaborate with teams across social media, digital marketing, and events to identify, curate, and distribute content specifically for Project Catalyst. • The role requires someone who understands decentralized communities, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a deep appreciation for blockchain technology and its potential to drive positive change.

🎯 Requirements

• 5 +years of experience in social media strategy, ideally within the tech, blockchain, or open-source industry • Strong understanding of Twitter/X dynamics, Linkedin, and other social media platforms that foster decentralized/Web3 community engagement • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and thought leadership content • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields • Familiarity working in a distributed team experience, while collaborating across verticals to produce exceptional results • Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and a genuine passion for the Web3 space • An understanding of communications and social media trends in the technology or venture capital sector • Adaptable and open - unafraid to take on new challenges • Curiosity & learning mindset • Drive, self-reliance • Delivery focused - turn abstract concepts into measurable results • Persuasive - skilled in lobbying and driving consensus • A team player, skilled in collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve shared goals • Pragmatic with a can-do mentality and a growth mindset; adept at finding creative solutions to thorny community challenges • Well-organized and effective time manager, methodical in approach
