📋 Description

• Improve backend systems that power seamless user journeys and content discoverability. • Develop robust backend architectures supporting advanced recommendation and personalization systems. • Collaborate closely with ML engineers, product teams, and data scientists to deliver data-driven features. • Design, build, and maintain high-quality backend applications; prioritize scalability and reliability. • Lead development of backend system roadmap and own major product components end-to-end. • Innovate new features to enhance customer shopping experiences and ensure strategic planning and execution. • Work within Core Experience teams focused on web and mobile product innovation and Order Quality post-checkout features.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with a strong record of project delivery. • Proficiency in backend languages, such as Ruby or Go. • A solid foundation in unit testing and problem-solving. • Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams. • Holds a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. • Experience with recommender systems and personalization algorithms (preferred). • Familiarity with ML model development and iteration (preferred). • Deep understanding of feed architecture principles (preferred). • Skilled in monitoring and observability tools like Datadog (preferred). • Extensive experience with database management, particularly PostgreSQL (preferred).
