📋 Description

• Manage and provide real estate legal support for early- to mid-stage renewable and data center projects • Handle day-to-day legal tasks for a portfolio of projects, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are mitigated • Conduct and respond to due diligence inquiries to keep projects moving smoothly • Review, draft, and oversee outside counsel on real estate agreements—including options, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and financing documents • Partner with internal teams to ensure agreements align with project goals and requirements • Provide real estate legal support for project design, permitting, interconnection, and offtake opportunities • Work closely with Land Acquisition, Development, Finance, and Construction to solve problems and unlock project progress • Take initiative on assigned matters while learning from senior attorneys • Contribute to the broader Land Legal team with flexibility, curiosity, and a solutions-oriented mindset

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Texas or California • At least 2 years of experience as a real estate attorney in a law firm or in-house setting • Familiarity with real estate agreements common in renewable energy and data center development • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment • Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively with senior attorneys and cross-functional teams • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving • Ability to work during all Pacific Coast working hours OR able to overlap a few hours with the West Coast team
