• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key verticals including commercial, industrial, mining, data centres, and infrastructure. • Develop and manage relationships with fire contractors, consultants, OEMs, and key decision-makers. • Promote and position Kidde’s fire suppression products (e.g., clean agent systems, aerosol, inert) and detection (e.g., intelligent smoke detectors, panels) as preferred solutions. • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide clients with compliant, high-performance fire protection solutions. • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical briefings. • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the tendering process for large-scale projects. • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (AS/NZS standards), and competitor activity to inform strategy. • Meet or exceed annual sales targets and KPIs aligned with national business goals. • Contribute to marketing strategies and participate in relevant trade shows, industry events, and conferences.
• Minimum 5+ years in business development, technical sales, or account management in the fire protection or building services industry. • Strong knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems, with a preference for experience with Kidde or similar product lines. • Familiarity with AS/NZS fire safety codes, building regulations, and compliance requirements. • Demonstrated success in developing new business and closing complex deals. • Technical aptitude and ability to understand system design, schematics, and specifications. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team. • Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or a related discipline (preferred).
