📋 Description

• Evaluates the overall technical operation of facilities within area of responsibility and takes corrective action as necessary to ensure equipment is functioning to the highest level of quality • Install, maintain, and repair broadcast equipment (audio processors, mixers, microwave and satellite equipment) used in preparing and transmitting K-LOVE’s programming • Regularly operate equipment that regulates signal strength, clarity, and sound of broadcasts • Maintain knowledge of FCC rules and regulations and ensure equipment operates safely and legally • Proactively analyze and fix technical faults on equipment; coordinate with contract engineers; review contract engineer projects • Carry out occasional work on non-broadcast equipment; perform site visits and training at headquarters • Maintain professional competency and pursue training; may serve as Chief Operator/Engineer for one or more stations • Additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, communications, or related field or three or more years of related experience; SBE Certification desirable • 3+ years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment, or similar relevant experience • Proficiency reading electronic schematics, electrical drawings; ability to solder/desolder components • Knowledge of broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations • Ability to carry out calculations for transmitter efficiency, power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment (VOMs, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers) and MS Office • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent problems; strong troubleshooting and communication skills • Willingness to travel to sites as required
