• Manage the Austria Corporate and Finance. • Oversee legal entities Accounting and Financial Reporting functions such that we provide fiscal leadership and timely and accurate financial information/analysis in order to help the region meet its profit, forecast, budget and OPEX objectives and to ensure external reporting obligations are satisfied, e.g. relevant license renewal, tax filing. • Align with Head of Global Facilities on new local office set up, e.g. negotiating/ dealing with landlord. • Create an environment which inspires and motivates creating a highly engaged team. • Partner with the other finance teams, senior business support and function managers as appropriate to maintain effective operating cost control, performance management and minimize financial risk. • Implement Kuoni Tumlare and JTB Europe strategy & improve margin transparency. • Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reporting including completion of high quality financial statement preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, balance sheet analyses, P&L analyses & accruals, and transactional data analysis. • Review key drivers including foreign exchange performance. • Meet all Kuoni Tumlare and JTB Europe division deadlines. • Work closely with the finance, business controlling, group accounting, shared service teams and group finance to ensure all deadlines are met and all requirements fulfilled. • Reviewing, identifying and improving internal processes and procedures, ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented & maintained. • Challenge existing processes and make recommendations driving continuous efficiency and improvements. • Manage external audit, ICS compliance & statutory filing to external regulatory bodies & tax compliance. • Support delivery of robust budgets, forecasts, sales outlooks, cash flows, treasury transactions (Hedging) and Corporate Governance. • Cash flow management. • Assist in projects, management of change. • Facilities management and related queries, e.g. record retention, office rental agreement. • Local legal and compliance – license application/ renewal, VAT knowledge.
• Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience. • Flexible approach and have ability to operate within a dynamic global environment. • Experience of dealing with complex international and multi-currency organization, gained ideally in travel or through global exposure. • Experience in HFM, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Hyperion or similar financial ledger and reporting systems desirable. • Advanced Excel (incl. Macros and pivots), Powerpoint, MS Office. • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all audiences. • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy • Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills and understanding of accounting principles include local GAAP and IFRS • Take the driver set to improve local finance process, managing changes. • Provide initiatives on local finance process to support business needs. • Daily management on SPB Hub performance. • An analytical problem-solver who has the capacity to process new or complex issues and develop effective solutions in a timely fashion. • Excellent collaboration skills across cultures and levels of seniority. • Ability to nurture effective relationships virtually/at a distance. • Works as part of a wider team player, willing to help out at short notice. • A hands on, deadline driven, self starter. • Desirable knowledge and experience: Travel industry experience preferred but not a must.
