📋 Description
• Provide guidance on FAR/DFARS requirements, cost accounting standards, and government accounting and compliance topics • Review, research, analyze, and resolve issues raised by government auditors • Prepare formal written responses to government agencies • Prepare and present compliance status and key matters to senior segment and corporate leadership • Oversee the SMS Intermediate Home Office, including Final Incurred Cost Proposals, Forward Pricing Allocation Proposals, and CASB Disclosure Statement updates • Ensure SMS IHO operating and cost accounting practices comply with applicable regulations • Support IHO audits, including FPAP, FICP, Cost Accounting Standards, and Business System reviews • Coordinate compliance-related training • Develop and implement solutions to compliance issues in a complex, changing environment • Lead or support ad hoc compliance requests and special projects • Interface with DCMA, DCAA auditors, and customers
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience • Proficient government accounting knowledge and experience at a defense contractor or government agency • Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) • Experience working with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) and DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-business teams • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging government customers and all levels of the business • Ability to work in a dynamic environment driven by business needs and customer requirements
