• Proactively pursue new OEM customer opportunities and develop strategic plans to penetrate new accounts and grow market share • Conduct prospecting activities like cold calls and networking and collaborating with local channel managers and distribution networks when appropriate • Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations and work with local application engineering resources to meet customers' technical needs • Strengthen relationships with existing customers to uncover new applications and upselling opportunities • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and expand wallet share within current accounts • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues to ensure long-term loyalty • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage them through the sales cycle • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence to leadership • Coordinate technical resources for customers, highlighting how the customer will benefit from a Lenze solution • Stay current on product developments, industry trends, and competitor offerings • Support product launches and customer onboarding with hands-on technical guidance • Work closely with product management, engineering, and marketing to align customer needs with company capabilities • Document customer interactions, feedback, and sales activities in CRM systems. • Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree or related work experience • 5+ years of technical sales or related experience • Demonstrated success hunting new OEM customers and expanding sales at existing accounts • History of documented sales growth in similar role • Strong understanding of gearmotors, VFD’s, servo drive systems and/or general motion control • Proven experience in technical sales, or business development withing the automation sector • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with engineering teams and decision-makers • Skilled in pipeline management and CRM usage • Willingness to travel 30% of the time for customer visits, trade shows, and training sessions • Skilled in managing complex commercial situations • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP, preferred.
