📋 Description

• Lead the design and development of backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS • Own your domain end-to-end: architecture, build, deploy, and monitor in production • Build and optimise data pipelines and event-driven systems (Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent) • Build relationships across disciplines like Infrastructure to remove blockers and get things done • Contribute to technical direction, design reviews, and cross-team engineering decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years’ experience building and scaling production systems • Proven experience delivering high-throughput, low-latency services (fintech, betting, gaming, trading, or similar) • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or other relevant backend technologies (e.g. Go, Python, Java, .NET) • Strong foundation in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data streaming • Comfortable leading small teams or large projects, designing, developing, delivering, and supporting systems at scale • Strong domain expertise in areas such as streaming, real-time data, distributed systems, or related high-throughput/low-latency platforms. Prior experience in betting or sports is a plus, but not required — we value depth of technical skill and the ability to solve complex, high-scale problems • Resourceful, respectfully opinionated, generous with knowledge. You care about quality, impact, and the people who ship alongside you.
