📋 Description

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements • Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide analysis of variances • Design and implement internal control processes to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy • Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial processes to ensure compliance and efficiency • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements • Manage the relationship with external auditors and support the audit process • Work closely with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making • Participate in strategic planning and contribute financial perspectives to key initiatives • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and financial systems • Analyze and improve financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Proven experience in a Controller or similar accounting leadership role • In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards • Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong leadership and communication abilities • Experience in job cost accounting, particularly in GAAP percentage of completion, is a plus • Experience implementing an ERP system (Sage Intacct) is a plus • CPA preferred but not required
