⢠Successful completion of medical coding courses (CPT, ICD, HCPCS) within one year of hire ⢠Education from an accredited institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation ⢠Experience in healthcare, medical records, or medical business office setting ⢠Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines ⢠Coding certification from a recognized organization within three years of hire ⢠Preferred: Medical assistant, surgical assistant, or coding/billing program completion
