• Set up new disability benefit applications accurately • Follow up to obtain missing information within specified timeframes • Perform administrative duties, including invoice payment and information follow-ups • Complete documented processes for new claims, claim closures, and CPP/QPP applications • Respond to disability-related client inquiries by telephone and in writing, handling approximately 30 calls per day • Set up systems and input data in claims management and payment systems • Manage financial responsibilities related to income replacement benefits, including benefit calculations, offsets, and payments • Prepare letters using templates, formatting, and proofreading for errors • Gather information used to assess disability benefit applications and maintain disability files • Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders
• Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience • Minimum six months experience in an administrative role, preferably in a health care or health service setting • Customer service experience is preferred • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or experience as a medical secretary would be considered an asset • High attention to detail • Comfortable being on the phone • Strong customer service focus • Ability to complete financial calculations using tools provided • Excellent computer skills with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products • Bilingualism (English and French) is mandatory • Ability to work a 7.5 hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm
